Concrete playgrounds

Israeli children in Sderot have been forced to have recess inside of concrete playgrounds for fear of Kassam rocket strikes by Palestinian militants along the Gaza border.

Americans and westerners who criticize Israel should be asked the same question this reporter asks...would our country tolerate this? Would any parent in the United States want to send their child off to school everyday in an environment like this?

It truely is a sad state of affairs. We may not get quite as bad as that, because of the distance, but it does give one reason to reflect on just how serious things are. I pray that NObama can somehow maintain a nuke-free Iran and North Korea.

I hope for that too, AA, although I have my doubts. What do you make of the letter that Ahmadinejad sent Obama to "congragulate" him? The best thing to do would be to write a reply telling the Iranian leader to stop executing rape victims, building nukes, and funding terror.

While I believe the Israelis share some of the blame, it is time for the Palestinians to realize that Israel is here to stay. How many more wars need to be fought and how much more violence will it take before they realize this? Another 60?

Ahmadinejad is just a puppet for the turbins. They let him have all the photo ops in return for being their slave. We know their real aspirations concerning nuclear, and it ain't pretty. We'll have to do something about them sooner or later, unfortunately probably later, after NObama is gone.

It would be nice if Palestine and Israel could somehow end up with each a state to call their own. I get the impression that the average citizen on the streeet of each group could easily grow to get along. Its the governments and militant factions that prevent it. You are right Azadari, they have fought just about long enough. Time to throw in the towel before they kill each other off completely.

This is very shocking and sad. You should post your articles in allvoices (http://www.allvoices.com/incentive/advertising) this will give your well written article more coverage.
